Open Season #1

Nov–Feb 2021

November 1 – February 28

Open Season was a curated series of concerts and live performances that took over The Tivoli in November and December 2020, breathing life back into Brisbane’s performing arts scene, a sector that was severely affected by the pandemic.

About

Born as a response to the loss of content incurred throughout COVID, The Tivoli launched its own curated program of music and arts events. One of the distinguishing new features of the Open Season program was the development of a premium dinner and show experience that was reminiscent of the famous underground cabaret theatres throughout Europe.

Throughout the Open Season program, The Tivoli capitalised on a new hospitality partnership with City Winery, delivering curated, seasonal menus, premium drinks and sophisticated bar food, made fresh on-site, to guests. The Tivoli was operating at a limited-capacity in a sit-down audience configuration for all Open Season shows – either cabaret-style or dinner-and-show – in keeping with COVID-19 social distancing requirements at the time.
